ဇနကဇာတ္ /zanaka. (zane'ka.) za'/

ဆြမ္းေတာ္စြန္႔ /hsun: do sun./ v remove and discard food offerings from the altar.
ဆြမ္းေတာ္တင္ /hsun: do tin/ v offer food to the buddha. /hsun: do din/ food offering to the Buddha.

ဆြမ္းခံ /hsun: khan/ v (of monks) go round village or town to accept offerings of foods.
ဆြမ္းခံပင့္ /hsun: gan pin./ v invite monks to visit one's home daily to receive offerings of food.
ဆြမ္းခံျပန္ခ်ိန္ /hsun: gan pjan gjein/

n time round about nine to ten in the morning i e time of the day when monks return from the round of accepting offerings of food.

Putta ma'tthi dhanam ma'tthi, iti balo vihannati;
atta hi attano natthi, kuto putta kuto dhanam.
62: "I have sons, I have wealth"; with this (feeling of attachment) the fool is afflicted. Indeed, he himself is not his own, how can sons and wealth be his?

61: If a person seeking a companion cannot find one who is better than or equal to him, let him resolutely go on alone; there can be no companionship with a fool.

ညစဉ္ ညတိုင္း ၾကားေနရတဲ့ အိမ္ဦးခန္းက အေမ့ေၾကးစည္သံ၊ သတၱဝါေတြအေပၚ ေကာင္းက်ဳိးခ်မ္းသာ မွ်ေဝ ခုနစ္ရက္သားသမီးေတြေဘးရန္ကင္းကြာ ေကာင္းက်ဳိးခ်မ္းသာရရန္ အၿမဲတမ္းဆုေတာင္းေပးတဲ့ အိမ္ဦးခန္းက အေမ့ေၾကးစည္သံ။xx

Dhamma for Lifestyle (17)


Seven Fires

Fire when used properly is beneficial. Otherwise, being burnt will be the result. According to Anguttra Nikaya, Sattaka Nipata, there are seven fires, namely:

1. Raga fire_ greed
2. Dosa fire_ anger
3. Moha fire_ stupidity
4. Ahuneya fire_ benefactors such as parents, teachers, etc.
5. Gahapati fire_ husband
6. Dakkhineya fire_ noble persons such as monks who accept alms, donation or offerings.
7. Fire wood_ for cooking food. 
Precisely, you should not be wrong or disrespect these fires. If not, you will be burnt by yourself.

Avijjaya tveva asesa viraga-nirodha, sankhara-nirodho;
With the entire cessation of this ignorance (Avijja),volitional activities (sankhara) cease.
sankhara-nirodha vinnana-nirodho;
With the cessation of volitional activities (sankhara), re-linking consciousness (vinnana) ceases.
vinnana-nirodha nama-rupa-nirodho;
With the cessation of re-linking consciousness (vinnana), mind and matter (nama-rupa) cease.
nama-rupa-nirodha salayatana-nirodho;
With the cessation of mind and matter (nama-rupa), the six-fold sense base (salayatana) ceases.
salayatana-nirodha phassa-nirodho;
With the cessation of the six-fold sense base (salayatana), contact (phassa) ceases.
phassa-nirodha vedana-nirodho;
With the cessation of contact (phassa), feeling (vedana) ceases.
vedana-nirodha tanha-nirodho;
With the cessation of feeling (vedana), craving (tanha) ceases.
tanha-nirodha upadana-nirodho;
With the cessation of craving (tanha), grasping (upadana) ceases.
upadana-nirodha bhava-nirodho;
With the cessation of grasping (upadana), becoming (bhava) ceases.
bhava-nirodha jati-nirodho;
With the cessation of becoming (bhava), birth (jati) ceases.
jati-nirodha jara-maranam
With the cessation of birth (jati), ageing, death (jara-maranam),
soka-parideva-dukkha-domanassupayasa nirujjhanti;
sorrow(soka), lamentation(parideva), pain(dukkha), grief and despair (domanassupayasa) cease.
evametassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa nirodho hoti.
Thus does the cessation of this entire aggregation of suffering result.
