ဋီကာ /ti ga/ n enlarged, detailed and explanatory work (book, etc). [Pali ဋီကာ] 

ဌာပနာ /hta pana/ 
v 1 enshrine Buddha's relics in pagodas. 2 put filling (in a pie). n relics enshrined or enclosed. [Pali ဌာပန]
ဌီ /hti/ 
n [Buddhist philosophy] period between one state of existence and the next; moment of transition [Pali ဌိတိ]
ဌာန္ /htan/ n place of articulation. [Pali ဌာန]
ဌာန္က႐ိုဏ္းက် /htan karain: kja./

v 1 be correct in stress and intonation; be in accord with the correct standard or orthography. 2 be systemic.

Dhamma Terms (44)


ညဝါ /nja. wa/ n lectures on Buddhist Scriptures given to monks in the evenings. cf ေန႔ဝါ.
ညီမွ် /nji hmja./ v be equal (as in ဝီရိယႏွင့္ သမာဓိတို႔မွာ~သင့္-- ).
ေညာင္ေစာင္း /njaun zaun:/ n royal bedstead or couch.
ေညာင္ဗုဒၶေဟ /njaun bou' dahei/ n pipal; Bo tree Fiscus religiosa. Also ေဗာဓိေညာင္ပင္၊ ေညာင္ေဗာဓိ.
ေညာင္ေရ /njaun jei/ n 1 water poured on the sacred banyan or Bo tree. 2 water poured as a blessing.
ေညာင္ေရသြန္း /njaun jei thun:/ v pour water on the sacred banyan or Bo tree.
ေညာင္ေရအိုး /njaun jei ou:/

n vase, pot or jar in which water and flowers are placed as a religious offering.
ေညာင္႐ြက္ /njaun jwe'/
n 1 any of the metallic banyan leaves attached to the finial of a stupa or the canopy rim of a ceremonial umbrella. ...
ညဉ့္သံုးယံ /njin. thoun: jan/ n the three phases of night: nightfall, midnight and dawn.
ၫြတ္က်ဳိး /nju' kjou:/ v respect; revere; (as in ႐ိုေသ ~၊ လက္အုပ္မိုး၍၊).
ၫြတ္တုပ္ /nju' tou'/ v make obeisance.
ၫြတ္တြား /nju' twa:/ v bow or stoop respectfully.
ၫွာ /hnja/ v 1 be considerate; show concern for sb; favour (as in သူ႔ကို~၍၊ အနာခံလိုက္ရ--။ မငဲ့မ~ဘဲ။)
ၫွာတာ /hnja ta/ v Same as ၫွာ v.

Dhammapada 68 [Khuddaka Nikaya]


5 - Balavagga, The Fool 
9 - Sumanamalakara Vatthu
Tanca kammam katam sadhu, yam katva nanutappati;
yassa patito sumano, vipikam patisevati.
68: That deed is well done if one has not to repent for having done it, and if one is delightful and happy with the result of that deed.

Dhammapada 67 [Khuddaka Nikaya]


5 - Balavagga, The Fool
8 - Kassaka Vatthu

Na tam kammam katam sadhu, yam katva anutappati;
yassa assumukho rodam, vipakam patisevati.
67: That deed is not well done, if one has to repent for having done it, and if, with a tearful face, one has to weep as a result of that deed.

Six Attributes of the Dhamma

“Svākkhāto bhagavatā dhammo sandiṭṭhiko akāliko ehipassiko opaneyyiko paccattaṃ veditabbo viññūhī ti.”

[1] Svākkhāto bhagavatā dhammo _ The Dhamma is well expounded by the Blessed One,
[2] Sandiṭṭhiko _ self-realized,
[3] Akāliko _ immediately effective,
[4] Ehipassiko _ inviting investigation,
[5] Opaneyyiko _ brought to Oneself.
[6] Paccattaṃ veditabbo viññūhī _ to be realized by the wise.
