ဒြိစံုသကၤန္း /dwi. zoun thin gan:/
n two-piece robe of a Buddhist monk consisting of သင္းပိုင္ and ဧကသီ. [Pali ဒြိ+Myan စံု+Pali အာသဂၤ / သံဃာဋီ]
ဒြိလိင္ /dwi. lein/ n1 hermaphrodite. 2 [gram] common gender [Pali ဒြိ+လိဂၤ]
ဒြိဟျဖစ္ /dwi. ha. hpji'/ v be in two minds about sth; be in doubt. [Pali ဒြီဟိတိကာ+Myan ျဖစ္]
ေဒြးေဘာ္ /dwei: bo/ n 1 couple; pair. 2 coupled consonants (with one subscripted). [Pali ဒြိဘာဝ]

ဒႏၲဌာန္ /dan ta. htan/ n [gram] place of articulation of dentals [Pali ဒႏၲ+ဌာန]
ဒန္ပူ /dabu/ n twig frayed at one end to clean the teeth. Also တံပူ. [Pali ဒႏၲေပါဏ]
ဒန္ပူစား /dabu sa:/ v brush teeth with ဒန္ပူ.
ဒိဗၺစကၡဳ /dei' ba. se' khu./ n divine eye; super human vision. [Pali ဒိဗၺစကၡဳ ]
ဒုဗ႓ိကၡႏၲရကပ္ /dou' bei' khan dara. ka'/ n period of famine. [Pali ဒုဗ႓ိကၡႏၲရ+ကပၸ]
ဒုလႅဘတရား /doun laba. taja:/

10 - Dhammassavana Vatthu

Appaka te manussesu, ye jana paragamino;
athayam itara paja, tiramevanudhavati.
Ye ca kho sammadakkhate, dhamme dhammanuvattino;
te jana paramessanti, maccudheyyam suduttaram.
85: Few among men reach the other shore (Nibbana); all the others only run up and down on this shore.
86: But those who practise according to the well-expounded Dhamma will reach the other shore (Nibbana), having passed the realm of Death (i.e., samsara), very difficult as it is to cross.

Na attahetu na parassa hetu, na puttamicche na dhanam na rattham;
na iccheyya adhammena samiddhimattano, sa silava pannava dhammiko siya.
84: For his own sake or for the sake of others, he does no evil; nor does he wish for sons and daughters or for wealth or for a kingdom by doing evil; nor does he wish for success by unfair means; such a one is indeed virtuous, wise and just.

Sharing of Merit (Pattidana)

Making a wish that whatever merit that one may have earned by performing a good deed be shared with others so that they might profit equally is the concept of sharing of merit.
Not only is the amount of merit that one earns not lessened by this transfer, but others stand to gain the same amount that one has earned.
