Dunniggahassa lahuno, yatthakamanipatino;
cittassa damatho sadhu, cittam dantam sukhavaham.  
35: The mind is difficult to control; swiftly and lightly, it moves and lands
wherever it pleases. It is good to tame the mind, for a well-tamed mind brings
happiness.

ခါးပန္းႀကိဳး /gaban: gjou:/ n girdle used by Buddhist monks.
ခါးပန္းကြင္း /gaban: gwin:/
 
n fastening ring at the end of the girdle used by Buddhist monks. See also ခါးပန္းသီး.
ခါးပန္းသီး /gaban: dhi:/ n button at the other end from ခါးပန္းကြင္း.
ခဲဖြယ္ /khe: bwe/
n [Vinayas] food other than rice, barley, other cereals, fish and meat. cf ေဘာဇဉ္. [Pali ခါဒနိယ]
ခဲဖြယ္ေဘာဇဉ္ /khe: bwe bo: zin/ n food offered to monks.
ခံစား /khan za:/

v experience (as in လက္ထဲတဖ်ဉ္းဖ်ဉ္း ~ ရ --); suffer (as in ေဝဒနာ ~ ရ --); enjoy ( as in စည္းစိမ္ ~ --).
ခံစားမႈ /khan za: hmu./ n feeling; suffering; experience.
ခိုကိုး /khou kou:/ v rely; depend on / upon; take refuge.
ခိုး /khou:/

Dhammapada 33-34 [Khuddaka Nikaya]


3 - Cittavagga, The Mind
1 - Meghiyatthera Vatthu

Phandanam capalam cittam, durakkham dunnivarayam;
ujum karoti medhavi, usukarova tejanam.
Varijova thale khitto, okamokata ubbhato;
pariphandatidam cittam, maradheyyam pahatave.
33: The mind is excitable and unsteady; it is difficult to control and to restrain. The wise one trains his mind to be upright as a fletcher straightens an arrow.
34: As a fish quivers when taken out of its watery home and thrown on to dry ground, so does the mind quiver when it is taken out of the sensual world to escape from the realm of Mara (i.e., kilesa vatta, round of moral defilements).

ယုန္ရထားအိမ္ သီတလမွာတဲ့၊

ျမင္သိ စိတ္မ်ား ျဖစ္ပြားပ်က္ရာ၊ ငါျမင္စြဲယူလြဲ ဒိ႒ိပါ။   


နားေပါက္ တံခါး ဖြင့္ထားခိုက္မွာ၊ အသံ ႐ုပ္မ်ဳိး ဝင္တိုးတိုက္လာ၊
ၾကားသိ စိတ္မ်ား ျဖစ္ပြားပ်က္ရာ၊ ငါၾကားစြဲယူလြဲ ဒိ႒ိပါ။
 

ႏွာေခါင္း တံခါး ဖြင့္ထားခိုက္မွာ၊ အနံ႔ ႐ုပ္မ်ဳိး ဝင္တိုးတိုက္လာ၊
နံသိ စိတ္မ်ား ျဖစ္ပြားပ်က္ရာ၊ ငါနံစြဲယူလြဲ ဒိ႒ိပါ။
 

လွ်ာေပါက္ တံခါး ဖြင့္ထားခိုက္မွာ၊ ရသာ ႐ုပ္မ်ဳိး ဝင္တိုးတိုက္လာ၊
စားသိ စိတ္မ်ား ျဖစ္ပြားပ်က္ရာ၊ ငါစားစြဲယူလြဲ ဒိ႒ိပါ။
 

ကိုယ္ေပါက္ တံခါး ဖြင့္ထားခိုက္မွာ၊ အေတြ႔ ႐ုပ္မ်ဳိး ဝင္တိုးတိုက္လာ၊
ထိသိ စိတ္မ်ား ျဖစ္ပြားပ်က္ရာ၊ ငါထိစြဲယူလြဲ ဒိ႒ိပါ။
 

မေနာ တံခါး ဖြင့္ထားခိုက္မွာ၊ အႀကံ ႐ုပ္မ်ဳိး ဝင္တိုးတိုက္လာ၊
ႀကံသိ စိတ္မ်ား ျဖစ္ပြားပ်က္ရာ၊ ငါႀကံစြဲ ယူလြဲ ဒိ႒ိပါ။
 

(ေဖါက္ျပန္ေျပာင္းလဲတာက ႐ုပ္၊ ႀကံသိၫႊတ္တတ္တာက နာမ္
႐ုပ္နာမ္သိဆဲ ငါမစြဲ၊ ကြာၿမဲ ဒိ႒ိမွန္)။၂

Dhamma for Lifestyle (8)


Merits to Attain Nibbana
A person who does not perform Dana is like a traveller without provision.
Less Dana means having less provision.
A person who does not have Sila is like a traveller who is lame.
Less Sila means having weak legs.
A person who does not practise Vipassana is like a traveller who is blind.
Less Vipassana means having poor eye sight.
Meritorious deeds whether Dana, Sila and or Bhavana, will fulfill one's wishes as benefits.
Also, they are the ways to attain Nibbana.

1. Being born in the Niraya,
2. Being born as Animals,
3. Being born as Petas,
4. Being born as Asaannatta-brahamas and Arupa-brahamas,
5. Being born as a human being in the remote part of a country (Paccantarika),
6. Being born as a human being having the wrong view during the Buddha dispensation (sasana),
7. Being born as a human being with no intelligence to understand the teachings of the Buddha,
8. Being born as a human being outside the time of the Buddha dispensation (Sasana).
