Dhamma for Lifestyle (14)

The right choice of Happiness

If a thirsty person drinks sea-water instead of fresh water, he/she will never quenches his/her thirst. He/she will be more thirsty as long as he/she is drinking sea-water. Only fresh water can quenches the thirst.

Like wise, when one's mind has a passion for one of the sensual desires, he/she will be searching continuously after having it unless he/she listen to the Dhamma.

Happiness of sensual desire is similar to sea-water, where as, happiness of Dhamma is like fresh water.

Sea-water, sensual desire happiness increase Tanha and fresh water, Dhamma happiness eliminate it.

Therefore, we need to choose correctly between these two_ Tanha and Dhamma happinesses.
