Body Related English Words (5)


Iris: 
(a) coloured part of the eye 
(b) tall yellow or purple flower

Jaw: 
(a) one of the 2 bony structures where the teeth are fixed 
(b) talk (to) for a long time (c) jaws – animal's mouth; two parts of a tool, etc., that hold thing tightly 
Joint: 
(a) place where bones (things) join 
(b) public place for drinking, etc. (c) cigarette containing cannabis (d) shared

Knee: 
(a) middle joint of the leg 
(b) part of a pair of pants, etc., that covers the knee (c) bring someone to his knees – defeat someone completely (d) hit with the knee 
Knuckle: 
(a) finger joint 
(b) knuckle down – start working hard (c) knuckle under – be forced to accept the orders of someone more powerful

Leg:
