Dhamma Terms (2)


ကသိုဏ္း /kathain:/
n object of intense mental concentration. [Pali ကသိဏ] The 10 kasinas mentioned in the Suttas are: earth-kasina, water, fire, wind, blue, yellow, red, white, space, and consciousness.
 ကသိုဏ္း႐ႈ /kathain: shu./
v 1 concentrate intensely on an object as a means of meditation. 2 look fixedly.
 ကသုိဏ္းဝန္း /kathain: wun:/ n circular spot to concentrate on while meditating.
ကာမ /ka ma./
n 1 sensual desire. 2 carnal desire; lust. 3 carnal knowledge. [Pali ကာမ] Intentional acts that result in states of being and birth. [Pali: kamma; Skt.: karma]
ကာမဂုဏ္ /ka magoun/
n sensuality. Strings of sensuality. The objects of the five physical senses: visible objects, sounds, aromas, flavors, and tactile sensations. [Pali: kāmaguṇa]
ကာမဘုံ /ka ma. boun/ n eleven levels of existence given to the persuit of sensual pleasure.
ကာယ /ka ja./
n structure of the body; physique. [Pali ကာယ]  Body. Usually refers to the physical body (rūpa-kāya; see rūpa), but sometimes refers to the mental body (nāma-kāya; see nāma). [Pali: kāya]
ကာယကံ /ka jagan/ n deed.
ကာယဂတာ သတိ /ka ja. gata dhadi./
n Awareness or mindfulness immersed in the body. [Pali: kāyagatā-sati]
ကာယိေႁႏၵ /ka jein darei/ n modesty; dignity. [Pali ကာယိၿႏၵိယ]
ကာလ /ka la./ n 1 time; period; age. 2 present time. [Pali ကာလ]
ကာဠသုတ္ /ka la. thou'/

n second of the eight levels of principal purgatories. See also ငရဲႀကီး. [Pali ကာဠသုတၱ]
